Privacy Policy
This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for College Church Connection. This privacy policy applies to information collected by our website, www.collegechurchconnection.org, or by surveys managed by College Church Connection. This policy will notify you of the following:
1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website and surveys, how it is used, and with whom it may be shared.
2. What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
3. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.
Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on our site and our surveys. We will not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Both our surveys and our website automatically collect statistics regarding usage, such as IP address, browser application, and date and time. (See also: “Cookies”)
High school students and leaders of high school students who wish to participate in the College Church Connection process must complete an online survey. As part of the survey the user will be required to supply specific personal information. Users who do not wish not to provide the information requested can clear their answers and exit the survey at any time. Our surveys use SSL encryption. Payment information such as credit card data is never collected by our surveys.
High School Student Survey Data
On our surveys for high school seniors, the information we collect includes personal data such as student name, cell number, email address, gender, the name of the student’s church and school, and various personal and religious preferences. We collect this information so that we can effectively research church and ministry organizations on the student’s behalf. These surveys never ask for or collect financial information such as credit card numbers.
We share the information provided with specific third parties, namely the churches and campus organizations that we recommend to the student. We share this information as part of our mission: to connect high school seniors with churches and ministry organizations. Just as we share the student’s information with these organizations, we also share those same organizations’ contact information with the student.
If you are a student, by taking our High School survey you consent to having us share your information with the organizations we recommend. In most cases we share your contact information with less than 10 organizations. We provide you with details of each organization with whom we share your contact information. We are not responsible for the actions or privacy policies of these organizations.
Unless you email us to request otherwise, we may contact you in the future to ask about the outcomes of your search for places of worship and campus ministry organizations. We may also contact you if there is a problem processing your request for recommendations.
Students who take our High School survey are not added to any College Church Connection mailing list unless they specifically ask to be added.
Students who take our High School survey provide the name and contact information for a “Leader.” This is often a youth group leader, guidance counselor, or church leader. Some students choose to list a parent or other trusted adult as their Leader. The Leader will receive a copy of the student’s report. We occasionally contact Leaders for follow-up purposes.
Leader Survey Data
Our surveys for leaders of high school seniors request information such as the leader’s name, email address, and the name of the organization. As stated on the survey, leaders who take this survey will be added to our mailing list.
Mailing List
We use our mailing list to send occasional emails with College Church Connection news. There are three ways we add people to our mailing list. (1) People contact us via email or website inquiry and ask to be added. (2) Leaders take our survey and are automatically added. (3) People we speak with “offline” (via phone, text message, or in person) ask to be added.
We never rent or sell our mailing list or any personal information to third parties.
Your Access to and Control Over Information
If you are on a mailing list, you may opt out of future emails at any time. You can do this by emailing us a request to be removed from our mailing list, or by clicking the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of our newsletter campaigns.
If you have taken our High School survey, you may email us to cancel your request. You will not receive a report and we will no longer consider your personal information to be shareable. We are not able to retract information we may have shared prior to your request for cancellation.
At any time you may contact us via email to request a copy of the data we have about you. You may email us to request that we change, update, or delete your data at any time.
All online donation transactions are handled via third party (Paypal’s payment processing system). We have no access, at any time, to your credit card number. If you make a donation we are notified of your name, address, and donation amount.
